NASHVILLE, Tenn. — In a new video message posted to X on Tuesday, Gov. Bill Lee urged business owners in New York to consider relocating to Tennessee, citing the state’s low taxes, strong economy, and support for law enforcement.
“In light of the recent election results, I thought it might be a good time to remind you that Tennessee is the best state in the country for doing business,” Lee said. “If you are a New York City business owner and you don’t like the direction your city has headed, I have a message for you — Tennessee is open for business.”
Lee highlighted the state’s “ready workforce” and the Department of Economic and Community Development’s willingness to assist companies “make a move right now.” He also emphasized that Tennessee remains one of the most moved-to states in the nation for families and businesses.
“We believe that opportunity, security, and freedom are important for everyone,” Lee said, adding that his administration “supports the men and women who keep our families and communities safe.”
The governor closed the video by touting Tennessee’s “music, culture, food, hospitality, and business-friendly environment,” saying it “might just be right for you.”
