NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Tennessee Department of Human Services said Wednesday it has begun issuing partial November SNAP benefits following updated federal guidance linked to the ongoing government funding lapse.

Households that normally receive benefits between Nov. 1 and 12 will now get partial payments starting Nov. 12, while all other households will receive reduced benefits on their regular schedule later in the month.

The department did not specify what percentage of each benefit is being paid or when the remaining funds will be distributed. Officials said additional details will be posted once further instructions are received from federal authorities.

The change comes amid continuing uncertainty over federal nutrition funding. Tennessee’s SNAP program, administered by TDHS and funded through the U.S. Department of Agriculture, provides food assistance to more than 750,000 residents statewide each month.

Recipients can check payment amounts and issuance dates through the One DHS Customer Portal at https://onedhs.tn.gov/csp or by using the EBT Edge mobile app. TDHS said its website will be updated as new information becomes available.
